You have been contacted by a journal to review an article. What kind of articles are you looking for and why?

If you are interested in publishing scientific articles or getting involved in publishing, this insightful workshop about reviewing articles for publication is perfect for you. In this session, you will learn what makes an article stand out from the rest, what criteria submissions are judged by, and how a journal comes together thanks to the tireless work of reviewers.

The workshop will be delivered by Dr Robyn Grant.

Robyn is a Reader at Manchester Metropolitan University and the Editor-in-Chief for Mammal Review, the official scientific periodical of the Mammal Society. She has extensive experience in writing articles, journal editing and article reviewing thanks to her contribution to many journals, including Mammal Review, Journal of Anatomy, Frontiers and Journal of Neuroscience Methods.

Beginner level: Attendees will ideally have some basic understanding of the topic. The event will then allow them to consolidate pre-existing knowledge and develop their skills.
