Join us to discover the process of becoming more effective in public engagement practices.
Public engagement describes the many ways organisations seek to involve the public in their work. Many of us will already be working with the members of the public already, through training events and citizen science work. However, is there anything we can do to make our public engagement practice more effective? This workshop will provide guidance on how to plan, deliver and evaluate your engagement practice, focussing on the purpose of your engagement, people, process and how to evaluate it.
The workshop will be delivered by Dr Robyn Grant.
Robyn is a Reader at Manchester Metropolitan University and the Editor-in-Chief for Mammal Review, the official scientific periodical of the Mammal Society. She has extensive experience in writing articles, including review articles, as well as journal editing and article reviewing thanks to her editorial contribution to many journals, including Mammal Review, Journal of Anatomy and Journal of Experimental Biology.
A CPD certificate will be available on completion of the course.
