The Mammal Society Annual Conference is focused on sharing knowledge and building connections across the mammal conservation and research community. It brings together a diverse audience, including academics, ecologists, students, early career professionals, local conservationists, and nature enthusiasts. The conference offers a balanced programme of research talks, project updates, and practical workshops, creating an inclusive space for learning and exchange.
The main programme runs over two days (Friday and Saturday), with optional events including a Thursday evening “Mammal Society Spotlight Session” and a Sunday field trip showcasing the local area. The annual conference dinner takes place on Saturday evening, during which the Mammal Society’s annual prizes are awarded. Hosted at a different UK location each year, the conference offers opportunities to hear the latest findings, explore ongoing projects, and connect with others involved in mammal work at all levels.
