The Mammal Society's Annual General Meeting 2026
All members of the Mammal Society are warmly invited to our 2026 AGM on Wednesday 9th September 2026, when we will review accounts for the Financial Year 2025, elect new Council members, update on current projects and priorities, and hear from any members with suggestions or questions about the work of the society.

Several members are standing for Council. Details can be perused here. Each candidate will need to be nominated by two other members (not already serving on Council) in order for their application to join Council to be put to vote at the AGM. Guest Speaker: Dr Adrian Fowler
Dr. Fowler has a passion for connecting people to wild places and improving our planet’s future. He has enjoyed a 20 year career providing technical expertise to global organisations focussed on nature conservation, animal health, international development, environmental advocacy and public engagement. He is now head of the APHA’s Wildlife Management Centre in Gloucestershire, which celebrated its 50th Anniversary this year. In this role Dr. Fowler leads a dedicated team of scientists keeping native wildlife healthy, for the benefit of nature, agriculture and communities across the UK.
Dr. Fowler will reflect on the role of the Wildlife Management Centre past, present and future, and share how the 50th Anniversary was marked by a Wind in the Willows themed outdoor sculpture trail that engaged people of all ages in considering some of the key issues that APHA exists to address.
