Placement opportunity at Mammal Society - Race4Nature

The organisation Race4Nature is making use of the government's Kickstart scheme to tackle the longstanding lack of racial diversity in the environmental sector.

The environmental sector is officially the second-least racially diverse profession in the country, after farming. This is a real problem, because it is BAME communities around the world that are suffering the most from the climate emergency and ecological crisis. As we go into what might be our last stand for climate and nature, it is essential that the organisations leading this fight represent the communities they serve and protect. The Mammal Society have been successful in securing one placement through the Race4Nature/Kickstart scheme. Whoever takes up the placement would take up a paid position for a period of six months helping us with various projects linked with research into and conservation of Britain's wild animals.
