Beaver Field Signs and Surveys (online)

Join us for an interactive online course to better understand the ecology of the fascinating Eurasian Beaver. Beavers have the ability to breathe life back into our rivers and we want to empower you to be able to identify their field signs across Britain.

The training session will focus on the Eurasian Beavers ecology, the wide range of distinctive field signs and features they leave in their preferred habitats and how best you can spot these in a riparian landscape. By the end of the course you will be equipped to decipher field signs and have the knowledge on how to conduct a beaver survey in your local area using online mapping tools. You will also learn tips and tricks as to how you can monitor these animals and get to know your local beaver population respectfully.

This half day online course is delivered in partnership with Beaver Trust - a nature restoration charity, established in September 2019. Beaver Trust is a small charity with a big ambition to restore beavers to regenerate our landscapes. The course leaders with their expertise in conservation, ecology and land management will provide a comprehensive exploration of the Eurasian beaver and its return to Britain's waterways.

A CPD certificate will be available on completion of the course.
