Join us to gain a practical understanding of how conservation detection dog teams can contribute to ecology surveys and research.
This in-person workshop is designed for ecologists and environmental professionals interested in using conservation detection dogs within surveys and research.
The session will explore how detection dog teams are used in real-world ecological work, what to expect when commissioning or collaborating with a team, and how to recognise effective and competent practice in the field
Topics will include search methods, lead work and safety considerations, dog and handler competencies, and what defines a well-run survey. Participants will also gain insight into how current guidance is applied in practice.
