Help us update our knowledge of the elusive polecat!

Vincent Wildlife Trust's National Polecat Survey is appealing for polecat sightings from across England, Wales and Scotland. You can submit sightings from 2024 and 2025, and we want to shine a light on polecats during National Mammal Week!

The citizen science-led National Polecat Survey is taking place throughout 2024 and 2025, not just National Mammal Week. If you're not sure if you saw a polecat or a similar looking animal, please submit your sighting anyway and include a good description. You can also share your photos/videos with us!

We're also appealing for hair and whisker samples from deceased polecats.
