Communications and Campaigns Lead
Alana completed a Master’s in Conservation Biology and Ecology in 2023, having simultaneously directed a conservation CIC which reintroduced the first water voles back to southern Kernow (Cornwall) since their local extinction. Now, Alana works three days a week managing comms and campaigns for the Mammal Society.
When she’s not thinking about mammals, she’s working on her own social platforms, her non-profit workers cooperative, and in freelance roles undertaking grassroots community and climate organising. Alana is passionate about bringing social justice to the nature sector and empowering people to rebuild ecological and social resilience themselves. Her hobbies include many things from surfing to bouldering to writing sci-fi!
