Dr Merryl Gelling

Chartered Ecologist (CEcol), member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environment Managers (MCIEEM), and member of the IUCN Reintroduction Specialist Group

In her consultancy work she specialises in protected mammal species, from survey work through to the design and implementation of mitigation works, with much of her work focusing on bats, badgers, dormice, otters and water voles. She has a particular specialism in the design and execution of translocation and reintroduction projects involving protected mammals.

With a strong background in applied research, Merryl also sits on the Mammal Society Council of Trustees, and was the founder and inaugural Chair of the Oxfordshire Mammal Group where she now continues to act on the committee.
