Pat White
Dr Pat White is an Associate Professor of Applied Ecology in the Centre for Conservation & Restoration Science at Edinburgh Napier University. His research involves (i) assessing, optimizing and innovating ecological monitoring methods and technologies to better understand and protect wildlife populations and (ii) applied ecology research on threatened or sentinel species’ demography and habitat use in response to land use change, disturbance and other human impacts. He has worked on a range of mammal taxa in the UK and overseas, including otters, small mustelids, deer, ibex, bats and nocturnal arboreal tropical mammals. He coauthored the Otter Survey and Monitoring Handbook. He is a Fellow of CIEEM and a member of the IUCN Otter Specialist Group.
