Science Projects Officer
Beatriz has an MSc in Endangered Species Recovery and Conservation from Nottingham Trent University, where her dissertation explored handling spatial bias in species distribution modelling. She is currently studying with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers to become a dog behaviourist.
Bea has volunteered in animal rescue, worked in statistical analysis with the Portuguese NGO for bird research SPEA and worked with the Mammal Society on the National Harvest Mouse Survey for over three years. She’s deeply interested in population ecology, wildlife conservation dogs and the intersection of technology and ecology.
Outside work, Bea enjoys exploring the world with her dog, deep-diving into animal behaviour and strategizing in video games.
Favourite mammals: Gray wolf and Siberian Tiger.
