Zeb Soanes
Zeb presents Relaxing Evenings with Zeb Soanes on Classic FM, the UK’s most popular classical music station. For over 20 years he was an authoritative newsreader and reassuring voice of the Shipping Forecast on BBC Radio 4. Sunday Times readers voted him their favourite male voice on UK radio. He presents concerts with the UK’s leading orchestras and is the author of the bestselling Gaspard the Fox series of books, inspired by his real encounters with an urban fox. The Mammal Society invited Zeb to be its first patron, for culturally rehabilitating the fox from its sly literary predecessors and representing them more sensitively and affectionately through his children’s books. Zeb also speaks about foxes in schools and at literary festivals. He was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Suffolk in recognition of his ‘outstanding contribution to education, music, media and literature.'
